Six hospitalized after VCA Animal Hospital in China’s Jiangsu province collapsed in dust

Six hospitalized children in China are among six people hospitalized after a hospital in Jiangsu, Jiangsu Province, collapsed on Monday.

According to the Jiangsu Central News Agency, at around 4:30 a.m., the fire brigade at VCA Animals Hospital in the Jiangxi province city of Zhongshan received a call about a collapsed building, with smoke billowing into the air.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found five children, including a 2-year-old boy and a 4-year old girl, all of them unconscious.

The children, who were taken to the hospital with breathing difficulties, have since been discharged.

Firefighters have not yet released the cause of the collapse.

The fire brigade has been called in to investigate.
