President Donald J. Trump will visit Seattle Mercy Hospital and the Riversides Community Hospital systems, respectively, in Washington, D.C., the White House announced Friday.
The visit will take place on Thursday, the day before the National Day of Prayer and Vigil.
In an interview with Fox News Channel’s Fox & News, Trump said, “I think this is going to be the best thing for our country.
We are going to see the best of each other, we are going see what a great hospital system can do for the people of this country.
It will be very special to me because this is one of the few times I have ever been in a room where I’ve been in the White Senate and I’ve seen a really, really good hospital system.”
The President also said that he will visit a private hospital that serves veterans.
Trump has previously said that the VA and other healthcare institutions are “corrupt,” and he has called for the closure of the VA Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
